Sardinia Experiences 2023: Tuili and Genuri

Tuili, 5 October 2024

• 10:00 am – Cultural Experience: Villa Asquer: Guided tour of the Museum of Sardinian Musical Instruments; Guided tour of the Olive and Oil Museum; immersion into the Sardinia of the 16th century with a visit to the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle; the Retable by the Master of Castelsardo.
• 11:30 am – Nature Experience: Excursion to the Giara of Tuili. Discovering religious syncretism (nuraghi, stones with phallic symbols, Christian churches) in the Morisia Botanical Garden; Photo Safari. Guided walk/hike in search of the horses of Giara, to photograph without disturbing the animals.
• 1:00 pm – Food Experience: Trip to the Giara Belvedere. Tasting of cold cut and cheese boards accompanied by breads, of other local products and typical desserts.
• 4:00 pm – Handcrafted Musical Instruments Experience: Villa Asquer. Experiential Workshop: Construction and Sound Testing of Launeddas.
• 5:15 pm – Traditional Food Experience: Experiential Workshop: Preparing and baking Pani Arrubiu at the Community Oven in the historical centre – Villa Pitzalis.
• 6:30 pm – Traditional Food Experience: Workshop on "Carapigna".
• 7:30 pm – Traditional Food Experience: Nougat Workshop.
• 8:30 pm/9:00 pm – Traditional Food Experience: Family dinner featuring traditional local recipes and dishes created during the experiential workshops.

Genuri 6 October 2024

• 10:00 am – Nature Experience: Guided tour of the ancient olive trees; Su Strintu de Cresia and the Church of St. Domino.
• 10:15 am – Local Product Experience: Workshop on the “beating harvest” of the ancient olive trees and on gathering the olives.
• 11:15 am – Traditional Food Experience: Workshop on the typical local bread “Su Coccoi Pintau” at a traditional bakery. Preparation of the dough, shaping and baking of the bread, which will be offered to participants at the end of the experience.
• 12:45 pm – Traditional Food Experience: Cheese and fresh pasta workshop.
• 2:00 pm/2:30 pm – Traditional Food Experience: Family lunch featuring traditional local recipes and dishes created during the experiential workshops.
